Lot 310: A Collection of Vintage Stationery Storage Boxes and Ephemera including Angus and Robertson Ltd Material
A collection of vintage stationery storage containers and associated paper ephemera. The lot includes a brown textured card index box with a marbled paper interior lining, containing cream-coloured alphabetical index dividers with printed letters including A, B, C, D, E, and Mc. A grey textured card box lid is present, bearing the mark PARKER preceded by a symbol. Also included is a brown textured card box with a handwritten label to the side reading MONO SLIDES and a small black plastic label for ADVANCE SYSTEM. A wooden filing drawer contains a quantity of paper booklets and cards. A visible greeting booklet features printed text for Christmas and the New Year, with a blue ink inscription transcribed as Angus and Robertson Ltd. Two items bear orange lot stickers numbered 310.
Condition report:
The items are in used, vintage condition. The card boxes show typical signs of age-related wear, including surface rubbing, corner bumps, and some minor staining. The grey lid shows fraying to the edges and surface discolouration. The wooden box exhibits surface scuffing and wear to the finish. The paper ephemera shows light toning and minor handling marks commensurate with age.
