Lot 309: A Collection of Silver-Plated Hollowware and Flatware
A collection of silver-plated and base metal domestic items. The lot includes a circular-bodied kettle featuring a fixed overhead handle with a light-coloured wooden grip. Also included is a twin-handled entrée dish with a fitted cover and a circular stand or shallow tray. The lot further contains an assortment of metal spoons, primarily table or serving size. The items exhibit a bright, polished finish consistent with electroplated nickel silver (EPNS) or stainless steel. No hallmarks, maker’s marks, or signatures are visible on the surfaces of the items.
Condition report:
The items are in used condition with visible surface wear, light scratching, and areas of tarnish consistent with domestic use. The wooden handle on the kettle shows minor signs of age. The lot is presented as a mixed group.
