Ulverston Auction Mart have recently taken over these sales from our sister company UAM Property, and are hoping to have four sales in 2024, however this may increase depending on the quantity of items we collect between sales.
UAM offers a wide range of Auction House services, from valuations, estate and house clearances and regular furniture and antique sales. We pride ourselves on our professional and friendly service and being the only furniture and antique sale room in the Furness Peninsula, with buyers attending from throughout the whole of the North West region.
We provide probate valuations for executors of estates, including property and house contents with a written fee-based report. We can visit you to provide a valuation of items suitable for auction or for smaller items, you can bring them into our sale room for impartial advice and guidance on the whole auction process. We also offer an initial e-mail advice service for all sale room items. In terms of transporting the items to the sale room, we offer a collection service by separate negotiation.
We have a dedicated house clearance team, and can provide estimates on a full or partial house clearance and advise whether any items are of value and suitable for sale at our auction. When we carry out a full house clearance, all none-saleable items/ waste are recycled and disposed of and the property left clean and tidy, ready for marketing. This service takes the stress and difficulty away from the owners and allows us to help make the whole clearance and selling process as seamless and easy as possible.
All of our auctions take place, in person only, at our County Auction Rooms located in the centre of Ulverston. Our current fees for Selling are 18% plus VAT and for Buying 18% plus VAT. The date of our next sale will be advertised on our website and social media pages.

Commission Rates for Vendors are 18% plus VAT (minimum £10 plus VAT).

Unsold items are to be collected by the vendor within 7 days of sale day, if NOT collected, items will be removed at the vendors expense at a cost of £10/wooden item.
