A collection of various giltwood and composition decorative architectural elements, including a large window pelmet and several wall brackets. The long pelmet features elaborate pierced scrollwork with central floral motifs and a repeating foliated border along the base. The accompanying wall brackets are of diverse designs, including scrolling acanthus leaves, floral sprays, and one with a fluted support terminating in a pinecone finial. The items are finished in gold-toned gilding with an aged patina. No maker’s marks are visible; however, several pieces bear small white stickers with the number 8 and orange tags marked 449. The collection is rendered in the Rococo and Baroque Revival styles, dating from the late 19th or early 20th century.
Condition report:
The items show visible surface wear consistent with age and use. There are minor chips to the relief and composition elements. The gold-toned gilding exhibits an aged patina with some rubbing and loss. Accumulated dust is present across the collection.
