Live auction will start in __ days and __ hours

Start price: £2

Buyer's Premium:

A collection of ceramic vases featuring a variety of forms and decorative glazes. The first item is a tall, straight-sided cylindrical vase crafted from stoneware. The exterior is finished in a layered, mottled glaze transitioning through shades of teal and blue, with a horizontal wavy drip effect in brown tones. The second item is a bulbous ovoid vase with a narrow neck and flared rim. The surface is heavily textured with a relief pattern resembling scales or hammered metal, decorated in a metallic bronze and silver-toned glaze with a frothy white speckled overlay at the shoulder. The third item is a porcelain baluster-form vase with a lobed body and a flared, scalloped rim. It features gilded scroll-work handles at the shoulder and is decorated with an underglaze blue floral pattern. The neck and rim are finished in a deep cobalt blue with gilded highlights. The fourth item is a small ovoid porcelain bud vase with a short cylindrical neck, featuring a pale celadon-green base glaze with a pink and white mottled confetti-style decoration. A small orange circular label and a white rectangular label are present on the body of the cylindrical and bud vases; these appear to be temporary inventory stickers and do not contain legible maker’s marks or signatures. No original factory backstamps or signatures are visible on any of the pieces.

Condition report:

The cylindrical teal vase appears to be in good condition with no visible chips or cracks. The textured metallic vase shows no signs of structural damage or surface loss. The blue and white porcelain vase shows visible wear to the gilding on the scroll handles and the scalloped rim, consistent with age and handling, but remains free of large chips or cracks. The small celadon bud vase is in good condition with no visible faults.
