Lot 321: Framed Legends of Music The Rolling Stones Photographic and Disc Collage
A rectangular commemorative music display dedicated to the British rock band The Rolling Stones. The piece is presented in a black-finished frame and features a central photographic montage mounted on a black card background. This montage includes three distinct images: a larger lower portrait of the band members standing against a brick wall, and two smaller inset photographs above it depicting live performance and candid group moments. Surrounding this central imagery are six optical discs, each featuring printed colour photographs of band members including Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Ronnie Wood, and Charlie Watts. A rectangular gold-toned adhesive label is positioned at the top centre, featuring the words Legends in a large decorative cursive script, with of music printed in a smaller sans-serif font below it. The label is mounted in an inverted orientation relative to the primary imagery. The entire assembly is housed behind a transparent protective layer.
Condition report:
The item is in fair condition. There is a significant and visible accumulation of dust, lint, and small white debris trapped behind the glass/acrylic across the entire surface of the black mounting board and the optical discs (photo 1). The central gold-toned label is mounted upside down (photo 1). The black frame shows minor surface scuffing and wear to the edges consistent with handling.
