A collection of decorative and functional glassware featuring a variety of glass-making techniques including cut, pressed, and molded glass. The group includes several clear lead crystal bowls and dishes displaying deep geometric patterns such as pinwheel, starburst, and diamond cross-hatching. One small dish features a rayed star base. Another footed bowl exhibits a textured hobnail or thumbprint design around the lower section. A prominent clear bowl is decorated with a frosted satin finish on the exterior, featuring a molded relief design of a bird or peacock motif amongst stylised foliage. Also included is a large, shallow pressed glass bowl in a light blue tint with an all-over intricate paisley or lace-like pattern. A thick-walled bowl in dark olive-green glass shows a smooth exterior and a decorated interior base with a central starburst motif. The collection is completed by a small clear glass pot or jar with a circular lid featuring a central inset blue medallion. Several pieces bear orange adhesive price or inventory stickers; one clear bowl has a white adhesive label with the number 14, and another clear dish has a similar label also reading 14. A green bowl bears a white circular label with a hand-written 14 and a separate orange sticker. No maker’s marks or signatures are visible on any of the items.
Condition report:
The glassware generally appears in bright condition with no visible signs of clouding or glass sickness. Minor surface scratching and small flea-bite chips to the sharp edges of the deep-cut patterns are present, consistent with age and domestic use. The molded and pressed pieces show no obvious cracks or large chips in the provided photograph.
