A mid-20th-century table lamp featuring a baluster-form smoked glass body with a metallic charcoal finish. The glass component is mounted onto a circular, turned wooden base with a dark brown finish. The lamp is fitted with a bell-shaped cream fabric shade, which is decorated with vertical seams and a long, matching fringe trim at the lower rim. The electrical assembly includes a gold-toned plastic-insulated flex, an inline switch, and a yellow UK three-pin plug. A small orange rectangular adhesive label is attached to the upper section of the fabric shade, bearing the handwritten numerals 813.
Condition report:
The fabric shade shows light surface dust and minor staining consistent with age (photo 1). The glass body appears free from cracks or chips. The wooden base shows minor scuffs and wear to the finish around the lower edge. The electrical cord and plug appear intact, though the item is sold as a collector\'s item and must be PAT tested by a qualified professional prior to use.
