Live auction will start in __ days and __ hours

Start price: £2

Buyer's Premium:

A collection of mixed clear and coloured glassware comprising various drinking vessels and serving pieces. The group includes several footed stemware glasses featuring pressed wedge and diamond-cut patterns to the bowls. Also included is a suite of three footed coupes decorated with a frosted, etched floral and vine motif. A notable piece is a circular lidded serving bowl in pale blue glass, featuring a radiating ribbed design to both the body and the domed lid.

The lot further contains a large clear glass bowl with a heavily textured, organic exterior surface. Several small tumblers and shot glasses are present, including examples with printed polychrome decorations such as a figure in traditional dress and autumnal foliage. A group of plain cylindrical tumblers is included, one of which features a circular mark etched on the base reading IKEA. No other maker’s marks, signatures, or acid-etched stamps are discernible on the remaining pieces.

Condition report:

The collection appears to be in generally good condition with no visible signs of clouding or sick glass (photo 1). Several contemporary tumblers exhibit surface scratching consistent with domestic use (photo 1). The enameled and printed decorations on the smaller glasses show minor areas of wear and fading to the pigments. Small nibbles or flea bites may be present on the faceted edges of the cut stemware, typical for used glassware of this type. No significant cracks or large chips are visible in the provided images.
