An assortment of mid-century pressed and moulded glass items contained within a clear plastic storage tub. The collection primarily consists of clear glass pieces including several pedestal cake stands, footed bowls, and plates featuring various geometric and floral patterns. Notable clear pieces include a large bowl with a hobnail and diamond-point pressed design finished with a scalloped, crimped rim, and various plates displaying radiating starburst and sunburst motifs. The group includes four wine glasses featuring deep ruby-red bowls supported by clear glass stems and circular feet. Also present is a large light amber-toned pedestal stand with a wide, ruffled, and crimped rim. Visible at the top edge of the tub are several ceramic plates featuring blue and white transferware patterns with gilt-toned rims. There are no maker’s marks or signatures visible on the glass items from the current angle. An orange adhesive label is present on the side of the plastic storage container, though this appears to be a modern inventory or price sticker.
Condition report:
The items are stored loose in a plastic container, which presents a risk of surface scratching from contact between pieces. The visible rims of the pressed glass bowls and cake stands appear generally intact without large significant chips, though minor flea bites to the sharpest edges of the relief patterns and crimped rims are possible given the storage method. The ruby-toned bowls of the stemware appear to have consistent colour without visible loss to the flashing. The blue and white ceramic plates show some wear to the gilt rims (photo 1). No major cracks or structural repairs are visible in the current arrangement.
