Lot 623: An Assortment of Vintage Silver-Tone Costume Jewellery Clip-On Earrings
An assortment of vintage mid-century costume jewellery consisting of two pairs of clip-on earrings. The first pair is designed as a stylized floral spray in silver-tone metal, set with four oval-shaped, translucent pastel-coloured cabochons in shades of yellow, pink, pale green, and light blue. These are accented with three small, round-cut rhinestones in red, green, and clear. The second pair features a botanical theme in silver-tone metal, each earring comprising a textured leaf alongside a cluster of small, round white decorative elements resembling faux pearls. No maker’s marks, signatures, or stamps are visible from the front of the items.
Condition report:
The earrings appear to be in good vintage condition overall. All primary cabochons and rhinestones are present (photo 1). There is visible surface oxidation and tarnish to the silver-tone metal, particularly evident on the botanical leaf pair (photo 1). The functionality of the clip-on mechanisms has not been tested.
