Lot 624: Vintage Walt Disney Productions Mickey Mouse wristwatch
A vintage Hong Kong-made wristwatch featuring a white dial with a central full-colour illustration of Mickey Mouse. The character’s gloved hands serve as the hour and minute indicators, complemented by a central red seconds hand. The dial is marked with black Arabic numerals. Below the character figure, the dial bears the curved printed text reading © WALT DISNEY PRODUCTIONS. Along the bottom edge at the six o’clock position, the dial is printed with MADE IN HONG KONG. The silvertone base metal case features a polished bezel and a knurled crown at the three o’clock position. The watch is presented on a black leather replacement strap with an embossed crocodile-effect texture and a silvertone pin buckle.
Condition report:
The crystal displays multiple fine surface scratches across its surface (photo 1). The silvertone case shows minor surface wear and light scratching consistent with age and use. The dial remains in good cosmetic condition with no visible fading or spotting. The leather strap shows creasing and light wear from previous use, and the buckle exhibits minor tarnishing (photo 1). The movement is untested.
