Lot 38: A set of six Babycham vintage gilt-rimmed sparkling perry glasses
A set of six vintage clear glass coupe-style glasses designed for serving sparkling perry, each featuring a gilt-finished rim and a multi-coloured enamel transfer depicting a stylised chamois mascot in yellow, blue, and white. The glasses are marked with printed blue capital letters reading BABYCHAM on the bases and the sides of the bowls. The collection includes two adhesive labels: a white rectangular sticker with handwritten characters reading 7 7 and a circular orange sticker reading 38.
Condition report:
The glasses appear in good vintage condition. The enamel transfers remain vibrant with no visible scratching or losses (photo 1). The gilt rims show minor signs of age-related rubbing and wear but remain largely intact across the set (photo 1). No chips, cracks, or significant abrasions are visible in the clear glass (photo 1).
