Lot 17: A Group of Decorative and Household Items including a Jingdezhen Ginger Jar and a Floral Ceramic Cat
A collection of decorative and household items. The group includes a ceramic long-necked cat figurine finished in a white glaze with hand-painted pink and blue floral decoration and green eyes. There is a blue and white transfer-printed ceramic lidded ginger jar decorated with scrolling foliage; the lid bears three hand-painted blue characters reading 景德鎮 (Jingdezhen). The lot features a nested set of white ceramic bowls with a green leaf-motif border and red berry decoration, which contain several metal cookie cutters in various shapes. A dark amber glass vase with a bulbous body and wide rim completes the group. Several items bear orange adhesive labels reading L1 and small white rectangular labels reading 7.
Condition report:
The items appear in good used condition with surface wear consistent with age and domestic use. There are no visible chips or cracks to the ceramic or glass components (photo 1). The metal cookie cutters exhibit minor surface oxidation and marking consistent with age (photo 1).
