Lot 222: An Assortment of Walking Sticks and Umbrellas including a Blue and White Ceramic Stand
An assortment of items comprising a ceramic umbrella stand containing various walking sticks and umbrellas. The stand is of cylindrical form, decorated with a blue and white transfer-printed foliate and scroll pattern in a traditional style. The interior is finished with a white glaze. The contents include a walking stick with a large bentwood hook handle in light-coloured wood, a walking stick with a black-painted shaft and a wooden T-shaped handle, and an additional hooked handle. The lot also features a green Heineken promotional folding umbrella with white and black printed text and logo, a standard black folding umbrella, a compact red folding umbrella, and a black sleeve with red decorative stitching.
Condition report:
The ceramic stand is in generally good condition with no chips or cracks visible to the rim or body; the base has not been inspected. The contents show varying degrees of wear consistent with use; the T-handle walking stick exhibits heavy loss to the dark finish on the handle. The umbrellas and other items appear in used but intact condition.
