An assembled lot comprising two mismatched bentwood side chairs in the European bistro style. The first chair is finished in white paint and features a curved crest rail over five vertical back slats, a shaped solid seat, and splayed legs with bentwood bracket supports. The second chair is finished in dark blue paint and features a double-hoop back design in the style of Thonet, with a circular solid seat and bentwood leg supports. Both chairs are constructed from bentwood, likely beechwood. Small orange adhesive labels are present on the frames. No maker marks were identified during inspection.
Condition report:
Both chairs are in a heavily used and distressed condition. There is significant paint loss, chipping, and surface abrasions throughout both frames, particularly on the seats and backrests. The white chair shows more extensive paint wear. The structures appear functional but show signs of age and general wear consistent with use in a commercial or domestic setting.
