Lot 422: 20th Century Oak Jacobean Revival Bureau Bookcase
A 20th-century bureau bookcase in the Jacobean Revival style, constructed from oak with a dark-stained finish. The upper section features twin glazed doors with leaded glass panes. The lower section consists of a fall-front bureau flap opening to a fitted interior, positioned above three graduated long drawers. The unit is fitted with ornate cast metal drop handles on decorative backplates and stands on turned bun feet. The primary oak timber exhibits a prominent grain across the flap and drawer fronts. No maker’s marks, labels, or stamps are present. Small orange inventory stickers are visible on the glazing.
Condition report:
The piece is in good structural condition. Minor surface wear, light scuffs, and small scratches are present, consistent with age and use. The leaded glass panes appear to be secure and undamaged.
