A polychrome glazed porcelain figurine and a circular lidded box. The figurine is modelled as a lady in 18th-century style costume, wearing a white mob cap and a pink bodice with green floral highlights. Her wide crinoline skirt is decorated with vertical stripes in white and pale blue. This piece is in the style of mid-20th-century manufacturers such as Josef Originals. The second item is a circular lidded container, likely a pill or vanity box, crafted from an ebonised material. The lid is inset with a central circular print depicting a young girl in a yellow dress amongst foliage. No visible maker’s marks or backstamps are present on either item. Adhesive lot number stickers are present on the surfaces of both pieces.
Condition report:
The porcelain figurine appears to be in good condition with no apparent chips, cracks, or restoration. The box lid shows significant craquelure and age-related wear to the pictorial inset. The ebonised body has some minor surface scratches and scuffing.
