Lot 117: A Polychrome Painted Carved Wooden Mandarin Duck Figurine
A decorative figurine in the form of a Mandarin duck, hand-carved from wood and finished with a heavy, high-gloss lacquer. The duck is polychrome painted, featuring a bright red head and beak with a raised crest, a dark green-black body accented with yellow and orange feather-style markings, and a red tail piece with black cross-hatched decoration. The eyes are set with small beads. No maker’s marks or signatures are visible on the upper surface. The piece is currently fitted with two adhesive inventory labels: an orange label numbered 117 to the neck and a white label numbered 19 to the tail.

The item is in good overall condition. The high-gloss finish is well-preserved and highly reflective. No chips, cracks, or signs of restoration are visible from the present angle.
