Lot 582: A yellow metal opal and white stone bypass cocktail ring
A yellow metal cocktail ring in a bypass or toi et moi design. The ring features two principal oval cabochon-cut opals, each displaying a yellow-orange body colour with visible green and orange play-of-colour. Each opal is set within a halo of small, round, colourless stones. The opals are held in four-prong claw settings. The yellow metal shank is constructed in an overlapping bypass style. No hallmarks or maker’s marks are visible on the band. The ring is presented in a light blue textured card jewellery box with a white satin and velvet-effect lining. Metal fineness and gemstone authenticity have not been tested.
Condition report:
The ring appears to be in good overall condition. There is minor surface wear and light scratching to the metal and stones consistent with use.
