Lot 362: An Art Deco style frameless semi-circular wall mirror with rising sun motif
An Art Deco style frameless wall mirror of semi-circular form, dating to the mid-20th century. The mirror features a decorative stylised rising sun motif at the top centre, composed of an amber glass semi-circle and radiating clear glass rays. The lower curved edge is finished with a scalloped and bevelled design. No maker’s marks or factory signatures are visible on the piece. Two adhesive stickers are present on the glass surface: an orange rectangular sticker at the top right and a white rectangular sticker at the bottom edge.
Condition report:
The mirror plate shows signs of age consistent with mid-20th-century manufacture. There is scattered light foxing across the surface and more pronounced areas of silvering loss, particularly evident along the right-hand edge and near the central decorative element. The glass surface is dusty and requires cleaning.
