An assortment of cast brass items primarily consisting of equestrian and domestic decorative hardware. The collection includes several horse brasses, some of which are mounted on original leather martingales or straps. One specific horse brass features the cast inscription YORK CASTLE MUSEUM. A prominent feature of the lot is a large cast brass door knocker depicting a classical mask, possibly Medusa, surrounded by a stylised foliate border. Also included is a large decorative cast brass anchor and various smaller pieces of brass hardware.
