Lot 181: A Collection of Artist's Paintbrushes and Storage Tube
A collection of artist’s paintbrushes of varying sizes and shapes, presented within a grey spirally-wound cardboard storage tube. The brushes feature painted wooden handles in assorted colours, including black, red, yellow, and blue, with metal ferrules and a mixture of natural and synthetic bristles. One yellow-handled brush displays a partial black printed maker’s mark including the characters W, I, N, and T.
Condition report:
All items are in a used condition. There is visible paint residue on several handles and ferrules, and some splaying is evident to the brush heads. The cardboard tube shows minor surface wear.
