Lot 139: A Collection of Bone China Tea Wares and Cut Glassware
A collection of bone china tea wares and clear cut glassware. The ceramics feature transfer-printed decoration of light blue and lavender roses against a white ground with silver-toned rims. Several teacups feature a pale blue interior glaze and bear the script characters Silver Wedding in a silver-toned cursive style. A small circular adhesive tag is present with the handwritten characters ROYAL STANDA TEA, suggesting an attribution to the Royal Standard pottery. The ceramic items include teacups, saucers, and a larger cake plate. The glassware comprises various clear cut-glass pieces, including wine glasses, champagne flutes, and tumblers, decorated with geometric diamond and foliate motifs.
