Lot 135: An Assortment of Mid-20th Century Scottish Costume Dolls and Ceramic Wares
An assortment of decorative items and collectibles. The lot includes several costume dolls in Scottish highland dress, featuring kilts, sporrans, and lace collars, constructed from celluloid or similar plastic. Ceramic and porcelain wares include a white bone china bowl with a base mark for Paragon, featuring a crown emblem and the inscription TO HER MAJESTY THE QUEEN PARAGON FINE BONE CHINA ENGLAND REGD. Also present is a small cream-coloured teapot with hand-painted text reading Chester Zoo, and a cream-coloured ceramic jug with hand-painted script reading Help yourself to cream. Further items include a pale green glazed vase with floral transfer-print decoration, a log-effect ceramic vessel, and various small souvenir jugs. A small sticker marked 5 5 is present on one item and a handwritten tag reads Lot 117A.
