A pair of cast metal sculptures, possibly bronze, depicting stylised female nudes in the Art Deco manner. Each figure is rendered with elongated proportions and simplified facial features, posed with one arm raised behind the head and the opposite hand resting upon the hip. The sculptures are set upon integral, circular, mound-like bases. The surface treatment consists of an aged brownish-gold patina with darker oxidation visible within the recessed areas and rubbing to the raised highlights. No artist signatures, foundry marks, or edition numbers are discernible on the exterior surfaces. Several adhesive auction labels are present, including orange stickers marked 103 and a white tag marked 18 18.
Condition report:
The pieces are in good overall condition. There is an accumulation of surface dust and minor wear to the patinated finish consistent with age. Rubbing is evident on the highlights.
