Lot 252: An Assortment of Reference Volumes on Antiques, Furniture, and Regional History. (DJ)
A collection of reference books and specialist volumes primarily focused on the fields of antiques, art history, and English regional topography. The group includes several hardcover editions, many of which retain their original dust jackets. Key titles observed include A Short Dictionary of Furniture by John Gloag, published by George Allen and Unwin; The Concise Encyclopedia of English Pottery and Porcelain by Wolf Mankowitz and Reginald G. Condition report:
The books are in used condition, showing signs of shelf wear and handling consistent with age. Visible issues include creasing, minor chipping, and small tears to several dust jackets, most notably to the spine of The Collector\'s Encyclopedia of Antiques and the edges of the pottery and porcelain encyclopedia. Some spines exhibit light sunning or fading. There are remnants of adhesive price labels on some covers. The internal pages are not inspected but appear generally intact based on the external condition of the bindings.
