A three-piece decorative porcelain assembly in the Rococo Revival style, likely serving as a potpourri set or pastille burner. The assembly comprises a scalloped-edge cabinet plate or charger, a central deep bowl, and a pierced domed lid. The plate is decorated with a wide magenta border featuring elaborate gilded rococo-style C-scrolls and foliate motifs, framing a central well and vignettes with hand-painted polychrome floral sprays. The central bowl features a cobalt blue rim with gilded scrolling and floral accents. The domed lid is pierced with four ventilation holes and painted with floral bouquets, fitted with a gold-tone braided cord handle. No factory or maker’s marks are visible on the surfaces shown. The items currently bear auction inventory stickers numbered 16 and 83.
Condition report:
Visible rubbing and wear to the gilding, particularly on the rims and high-relief areas. The braided cord handle is likely a later addition or replacement. No major chips, cracks, or repairs are immediately apparent.
