Lot 86: An Assortment of Porcelain Teaware Featuring Various Floral and Gilt Patterns
This collection of porcelain teaware comprises three distinct decorative styles. The first group is decorated with a pink floral garland and swag pattern, embellished with small blue berry motifs and gilt rims. This group includes a cream jug, teacups, and a stack of matching saucers and side plates with scalloped edges. The second group features floral sprays in shades of pink, orange, and blue with blue foliate scrolls and scalloped gilt rims, consisting of teacups and matching saucers. The final group contains two teacups in plain white porcelain with gilded handles and rims. The decoration appears to be transfer-printed with hand-coloured highlights. Several pieces bear orange auction lot labels marked 86 and small white labels marked 2. No factory marks are visible from the primary perspective.
Condition report:
The collection is in generally good condition with some light wear to the gilded rims and handles consistent with age and use. No significant chips or cracks are visible in the overview, though fine hairlines may be present.
