Lot 68: Two Items comprising a Cut and Etched Lead Crystal Serving Plate and a Dandelion Seed Head Paperweight
A large circular lead crystal serving plate, the central well decorated with a strawberry diamond or hobnail cut pattern. The broad rim is embellished with an etched border of floral and foliate motifs, including stylised flower heads and sprays of fern leaves, all within a fine dentil-cut outer edge. Included is a separate domed glass paperweight with a blue tint, containing a preserved natural dandelion seed head. Multiple adhesive inventory labels are present on the glass surfaces.
Condition report:
Both pieces are in good condition with no visible chips, cracks, or significant clouding to the glass. Minor surface scratches are present, consistent with age and use. Adhesive residue from the modern inventory stickers will require removal.
