Live auction will start in __ days and __ hours

Start price: £2

Buyer's Premium:

This collection comprises items associated with The King’s Own Royal Regiment (Lancaster). It includes two brass cap badges, each featuring the regimental device of a lion passant guardant standing on a ground line. Both badges possess a scroll inscribed THE KINGS OWN. One badge is fitted with a long horizontal slider, commonly associated with the Wolseley helmet or specialized headgear, while the other features a standard vertical slider for a service dress cap. Also included is an embroidered cloth formation sign, displaying a yellow lion passant guardant on a rectangular black felt background. This specific pattern is identified with the 1st Battalion of the regiment. The lot is completed by a heavy-duty brass D-shackle with a screw-in pin, typical of military vehicle or equipment fittings.

Condition report:

The items show authentic signs of age and service use. The brass cap badges have an unpolished, aged patina with no significant damage to the details. The embroidered cloth patch exhibits some minor fraying around the perimeter and slight wear to the felt backing. The brass D-shackle is functional but shows heavy surface marks, scratches, and a dull, darkened patina consistent with field use.
