Lot 820: A Trio of Vintage Items comprising an Ingersoll Pocket Watch, an Automobile Association Badge, and a Name Brooch
This lot comprises a collection of three vintage items. The Ingersoll open-face pocket watch features a white dial with black Arabic numeral hour markers, an outer minute track, and a sub-seconds dial at the 6 o’clock position. The dial is signed Ingersoll and the watch is housed in a polished white base metal case. The Automobile Association (AA) circular badge is a metal membership plaque featuring a white background with black lettering and serial number 20315, fitted with mounting tabs to the sides. The name brooch is crafted from white metal with cutout stylised letters spelling the name REBBEE, secured with a pin and C-clasp to the reverse.
Condition report:
The Ingersoll pocket watch shows heavy surface scratching to the metal case and scuffing to the crystal; the movement is untested for functionality or timekeeping. The AA badge exhibits significant signs of age including yellowing of the background, loss of finish to the characters, and oxidation to the metal components. The name brooch displays a darkened patina and surface wear consistent with age.
