Lot 88: An Assortment of Decorative Ceramic and Glassware Items including Laura Ashley Scented Candles
A collection of various decorative objects comprising ceramics and glass. The group includes two white fluted ceramic vessels containing scented candles, with labels for Laura Ashley Home in the Golden Frankincense and Myrrh fragrance. Also included is a blue art glass vase featuring a ruffled rim and clear applied handles. A large white ceramic planter is present, decorated with relief-moulded scroll and floral motifs. The assortment further contains several small porcelain vases of varying forms, including square and baluster shapes, decorated with floral sprays and gilded rims. The items exhibit a range of manufacturing techniques including blown glass and glazed ceramic with relief-moulding and hand-painted or printed decoration. Several pieces bear orange adhesive labels with the handwritten number 88.
Condition report:
The items appear to be in generally good condition. Some minor surface wear and dust are present, consistent with age and display. There is slight rubbing to the gilded rims of the porcelain vases. The candle wax appears unused. Adhesive labels are present on multiple items.
