Lot 453: A Queen Anne style oak octagonal side table
A mid-20th century reproduction side table in the Queen Anne style. The piece is constructed from oak, featuring an octagonal top with prominent quarter-sawn grain and visible medullary rays. The top is set over a plain frieze and is supported by four slender cabriole legs, each terminating in a pad foot. No maker’s marks or labels are present.
Condition report:
The table exhibits significant age-related wear. The top surface shows multiple circular watermarks, ring stains, and general scuffing with associated finish loss. There are minor chips and abrasions to the edges of the top and the legs, particularly around the feet. The structure remains sound.
