Lot 386: A Collection of Postcards and Topographical Ephemera Relating to the Lake District

Two specific items are presented in modern cream-coloured card mounts: a colour landscape print titled Lake Windermere from The Belsfield Hotel, and a monochromatic advertisement for the Bowness Bay Boating Co., Bowness-on-Windermere. The advertisement depicts a large passenger launch and includes the text Wm. Fleming, Secretary and Tel. Windermere 360. The collection covers various aspects of tourism and local history in the Windermere area, with the core items likely dating from the early to mid-20th century.
Condition report:
The collection appears to be in generally good condition. Many items are individually sleeved. Visible edges of the cards in the crate show minor age-related toning and shelf wear. The two highlighted items are well-preserved within modern mounts and plastic covers.
