Lot 385: Hand-Forged Wrought Iron Drinks Table Attributed to Blackthorne Forge
A tall, circular pedestal stand or drinks table, hand-forged from wrought iron. The piece features a solid, circular flat metal top mounted onto a central column with a decorative barley-twist design. The column is supported by a tripod base consisting of three out-swept, slender legs that terminate in small, flattened disc feet. The design and construction are characteristic of contemporary artisanal ironwork, attributed to Blackthorne Forge. No maker’s marks or signatures are visible on the frame. Two adhesive labels are present on the top surface.
Condition report:
The table is in used condition with prominent surface oxidisation and rusting across the entirety of the top surface. The dark finish on the central column and tripod base shows thinning and wear throughout. The structural integrity appears sound and the table is stable.
