A Victorian-period copper bed warmer of circular form. The hinged lid is decorated with a hand-punched decorative motif in a radial starburst pattern and features a small brass ring-pull. The pan is constructed from hammered copper and is attached to a long, turned wooden handle by three prominent rivets. The handle is finished with a dark stain and features traditional turned detailing. No maker’s marks or formal identification symbols are present.
Condition report:
The item is in good antique condition, exhibiting a natural aged patina with surface oxidation and minor verdigris around the rivets. The copper shows light surface scratches and signs of use consistent with age. The wooden handle is secure and shows typical wear from handling.
