Live auction will start in __ days and __ hours

Start price: £2

Buyer's Premium:

This collection comprises two distinct groups of mid-century English earthenware. The first is a large Crown Devon pitcher from the Modern series, featuring broad horizontal hand-painted bands in shades of orange, yellow, green, terracotta, and blue. The vessel is designed with a wide spout and a geometric, multi-angled handle. The base bears the Crown Devon printed mark, an impressed MODERN mark, and the hand-painted pattern number 1808. The second group consists of pieces from the Denby Greenwheat range, including a lidded pot, a small cream jug, and a bowl. These items feature the characteristic hand-painted stylized wheat motif in green, grey, and red on a cream ground, with deep teal glazed interiors. The base of the cream jug is signed Alleyne in script, for the designer Alleyne Cook.

Condition report:

All pieces are in good overall condition with no visible chips, cracks, or restorations. There is minor surface wear and grime, particularly to the unglazed foot rims. Adhesive price labels are present on the bodies of the vessels.
