A group of English bone china tea wares by Colclough in the Hedgerow pattern. Each piece is constructed from white bone china with gilded rims and features transfer-printed floral decoration. The pattern comprises large pale green and white flowers, smaller yellow blossoms, and pinkish-brown buds, set against olive green foliage. The saucers are decorated with a border of alternating yellow flowers and green leaf sprigs separated by vertical pink stripes. The group includes four teacups with loop handles, a cream jug, an open slop bowl, and a stack of saucers. The base of the slop bowl bears a printed mark consisting of a black crown symbol above the words BONE CHINA and E 76 7. Below this is the name Colclough in red cursive script, followed by the black uppercase text MADE IN ENGLAND / A PRODUCT OF / RIDGWAY POTTERIES LTD.
Condition report:
The items appear to be in good overall condition with no visible cracks, chips, or repairs. Minor surface dirt and shelf wear are visible on the unglazed foot rims (photo 2). The gilding on the rims appears largely intact, with only minor rubbing consistent with age and domestic use.
