A set of six champagne flutes crafted from lead crystal. The bowls feature a hand-cut geometric pattern consisting of a band of diamond cross-hatching above a series of tapering vertical wedge cuts. Each glass is constructed with a faceted stem and a plain, circular foot. The collection is housed in a grey textured presentation box with a blue satin-lined interior. The exterior lid of the box features a purple printed mark within a rectangular border, depicting a stylised lion rampant flanked by the words EDINBURGH and CRYSTAL. To the right of the crest, the text reads — THE — CONTINENTAL COLLECTION and Imported Lead Crystal.
Condition report:
The flutes appear to be in excellent condition with no visible chips, cracks, or flea bites to the rims or bases (photo 1). The lead crystal retains high clarity with no signs of clouding or surface wear. The presentation box shows some light surface wear, minor staining, and softening to the corners consistent with storage (photo 2).
