Lot 71: An Assortment of Four Decorative Glass Paperweights
A collection of four spherical art glass paperweights, each featuring distinct internal decorative techniques. One example contains a central yellow core surrounded by a controlled bubble bullicante pattern within clear glass. A second multicoloured paperweight features a dense internal arrangement of red, blue, green, and yellow glass shards and canes, including a red and white fish-shaped inclusion. A third specimen is decorated with a white and pale green internal ribbon swirl. The fourth and largest paperweight is clear glass featuring a central column from which multiple tiers of small controlled bubbles radiate outwards in a fountain or raindrop formation. A white rectangular adhesive label is present on the multicoloured example bearing the handwritten numeral 4.
Condition report:
The paperweights appear to be in good condition overall. Minor surface reflections and light scratches consistent with handling are visible across the surfaces of all four items (photo 1). The clear fountain paperweight contains some minor internal inclusions typical of the manufacturing process (photo 1).
