Lot 488: A Collection of Decorative Artificial White Manzanita Trees and Branches
An assortment of contemporary decorative ornaments designed to resemble bleached wood or manzanita branches, featuring a matte white-coated finish. The collection includes a tabletop tree sculpture with a textured, spiralling trunk rising from a circular integral base, and a smaller ornamental tree with dual interwoven trunks set into a square white plastic planter. The planter is filled with a grey, textured material resembling coarse cement or grout. Also included is a cardboard produce box containing multiple detached branch segments with bifurcated tips, designed for assembly or use as floral accents. A small orange adhesive price sticker is visible on the front of the cardboard box, though the specific price is not clearly legible. The cardboard box features green printed text reading Kings and smaller text below reading BEST BEFORE and 3796. The ornaments are constructed from moulded resin or plastic over internal supports.
Condition report:
The items are in used condition showing surface wear throughout. The branches contained in the box exhibit numerous areas of loss to the white coating, exposing the underlying grey material (photo 1). The potted tree shows light surface marking and dust accumulation to the white planter and trunks. The larger spiral-trunk sculpture displays similar minor surface abrasions and dirt consistent with previous display use. The cardboard box is repurposed and shows significant structural wear, creasing, and tearing.
