A traditional floor lamp featuring a dark-stained turned hardwood column and a multi-panelled fabric shade. The central column is constructed with decorative baluster and ring-turned sections, supported by a heavy circular stepped base. The large fabric shade is of a flared, scalloped form, upholstered in a cream-coloured damask fabric featuring a repeating jacquard floral pattern. The shade is finished with a braided edge and a long, tiered fringe in a terracotta hue, further accented by small matching tassels. The lamp is fitted with a black plastic-coated cord and a white UK 3-pin plug. An orange adhesive price or inventory sticker is present on the wooden column and another is visible on the edge of the shade. No maker’s marks, signatures, or manufacturer labels are visible on the wood or electrical components.
Condition report:
The wooden base and column exhibit minor surface wear, small scuffs, and light scratches consistent with domestic use (photo 1). The fabric shade shows minor dust accumulation to the damask sections and some visible sagging and fraying to the tiered fringe, particularly at the lower edges (photo 2). The electrical cable and plug appear intact, though the item is sold as a collector\'s piece and requires professional PAT testing before use.
