Lot 46: An Assortment of Decorative Ceramic, Porcelain, and Glass Objects
An assortment of decorative objects comprising various ceramic, porcelain, and glass items. The group includes a pair of white porcelain bird figurines, possibly cockatoos, featuring gilt highlights to the crests and wings. Also present are a pair of moulded bird figurines with textured brown and orange plumage, a small light-blue matte-finished earthenware vase decorated with raised white floral motifs, and a circular porcelain trinket box with a transfer-printed lid titled The Sweetest Flower, depicting two children. A novelty anthropomorphic egg-shaped ceramic figurine with hand-painted facial features and red cross-stitch detailing is included, alongside a small porcelain plate with a scalloped burgundy and gilt border surrounding a central floral spray. Additional items include a clear glass shaker with a perforated metal top, a wooden-framed object, and several other small ceramic ornaments. A small white adhesive label is present on the edge of the cardboard container, with the numbers 6 and 9 printed on it, and an orange adhesive label is visible on the inner wall of the box with the hand-written number 46. No maker’s marks or signatures are legible on the items from the provided perspective.
Condition report:
The collection shows signs of wear consistent with age and use. One white porcelain bird figurine has a significant chip to its crest. Several items exhibit surface dust and light grime. There is minor wear to the gilt accents on the porcelain pieces and the metal components show surface oxidation.
