A precision manual mitre saw featuring a grey die-cast metal base and a twin-pillar guidance system. The tool is equipped with a steel back-saw blade held within a black metal frame, controlled by a black plastic handle with a finger guard. The base incorporates a semi-circular protractor scale for angle adjustment, featuring impressed graduations for common angles including 90, 45, 36, 30, and 22.5 degrees. The saw is fitted with adjustable depth stops on the vertical guide rods and a blue plastic tensioning knob at the front of the blade frame. A small orange plastic component is visible near the central pivot point of the saw arm. The base is currently secured to a rectangular wooden board via screws. The saw blade is marked with a series of small circular indentations along its upper spine.
Condition report:
The item is in used condition with signs of age and workshops use. There is a significant accumulation of sawdust across the base and the blade frame (photo 1). Surface oxidation and light pitting are present on the steel saw blade and the cylindrical guide rods (photo 1). The black paint on the handle and frame shows minor surface abrasions. The wooden mounting board has unfinished edges and appears to be a workshop addition. Mechanical operation and accuracy of the mitre angles have not been tested.
