Lot 440: Burgess Power Tools BK3 MkII Benchtop Bandsaw
A British-made benchtop bandsaw constructed with a cast metal main housing in grey and black finishes, featuring an adjustable aluminium work table. The unit is powered by a rear-mounted induction motor. A black and yellow adhesive label on the side of the housing reads MODEL BK3 MkII, 220-240V 50Hz, 350W, BLADE SPEED 460m/min, MADE IN ENGLAND BY BURGESS POWER TOOLS LTD SAPCOTE LEICS. The motor housing bears a small white adhesive label printed with 1475/min. The machine is fitted with yellow plastic adjustment knobs. A rubberised drive belt is currently unmounted and looped around the guide post. An orange circular adhesive sticker is present on one adjustment knob.
Condition report:
The bandsaw is in a used, partially disassembled state. The drive belt is disconnected from the pulleys and hanging loosely (photo 1). The metal surfaces exhibit accumulated workshop grime and oxidation, particularly evident on the aluminium work table (photo 1). The yellow power cable and internal wiring appear aged and are currently tangled around the frame. The cutting blade is not present in the guide assembly. The mechanical and electrical components are untested and the machine requires maintenance and reassembly before use.
