Lot 347: Contemporary Hammered Brass Dome Pendant Ceiling Light
A contemporary industrial-style pendant ceiling light featuring a large, domed metal shade with a brushed antique brass finish. The exterior of the shade is decorated with a regular, all-over hammered or dimpled texture. The fixture includes a modern brass-finished bulb holder with a knurled grip ring, terminating in a conical cap that secures a gold-toned, three-core braided fabric-covered electrical flex. The lower interior portion of the shade is protected by original clear plastic film. There are two adhesive stickers present on the exterior of the shade; one is a square orange label reading 347 in handwritten black ink, and the other is a small rectangular white label printed with the numbers 10 10. No maker’s marks, signatures, or branding are visible on the object. As a contemporary electrical item offered at auction, the internal wiring and components have not been tested; the light is sold as a decorative object that must be professionally inspected and tested by a qualified electrician prior to installation.
Condition report:
The light appears in good cosmetic condition. The metal shade shows some light surface dust and minor superficial scuffing to the brushed finish (photo 1). The metalwork is free from visible dents, structural damage, or significant oxidation. The lower rim and interior are partially protected by original plastic packaging, suggesting minimal previous use. The fabric-covered flex appears intact with no visible fraying.
