An assortment of ceramic and pottery vessels for domestic gardening, featuring a variety of glazes, forms, and decorative finishes. The collection includes several cylindrical and flared-rim planters alongside small decorative bowls. One large cream-glazed earthenware planter is decorated with a relief-molded basketweave pattern around the exterior. Another white ceramic pot features green transfer-printed botanical motifs depicting various herbs and foliage. The group further comprises a deep magenta glazed pot with a contrasting unglazed tan base, a deep purple/blue glazed cylindrical planter, and a red-rimmed pot containing a white textured spherical ceramic insert. A small white bowl is finished with a scalloped rim and a hand-painted blue border. The remainder of the lot consists of plain cream-glazed planters in varying sizes. A white adhesive label is visible on the rim of the herb planter reading 14 14, and a similar label is present on a red-rimmed pot. A yellow adhesive price label reading 329 is attached to the red cardboard tray holding the items. No manufacturer marks or backstamps are visible on the interior or exterior surfaces of the pieces shown.
Condition report:
The collection is in used condition. The large cream basketweave planter has a piece of black tape adhered to the interior base (photo 1). Minor surface dirt and calcium water marks are visible to the interiors of several pots. The interior glaze of the magenta pot shows fine surface scratching and light crazing. A small circular hole is present in the side of one cream planter, which appears to be a deliberate drainage or mounting feature rather than damage. No significant chips or structural cracks are visible from the overhead perspective, though the condition of the bases cannot be verified.
