Lot 214: A Trio of Graduated Enamelware Nesting Stockpots with Retro Floral Decoration
A trio of graduated nesting stockpots constructed from vitreous enamel on steel. The pots feature an off-white cream exterior decorated with a large-scale transfer print of stylized floral sprays in a palette of olive green, ochre, and dark brown, accented with orange centres. Each pot is fitted with a pair of dark brown synthetic loop handles and a polished stainless steel rim at the aperture. The interiors are finished in plain white enamel. The design and materials are characteristic of European or Japanese kitchenware from the late 1960s to the 1970s. While packaging in the background shows printed text, no maker’s name or brand is readable on the pots themselves.
Condition report:
The set appears to be in good vintage condition. There is minor surface wear and light scratching to the stainless steel rims consistent with nesting and use (photo 1). The enamel exteriors show a high gloss with no visible chips or significant losses to the floral transfers. The synthetic handles appear secure and free from cracks or heat damage.
