Lot 143: LEKI Wanderfreund Telescopic Walking Pole
A three-section telescopic trekking pole or walking cane by LEKI. The shaft is constructed from lightweight aluminium, featuring a purple upper section and a silver-toned lower section. The upper shaft displays a printed lime green capitalised wordmark reading LEKI, with a smaller white italicised wordmark below reading WANDERFREUND. The grip is an ergonomic, black textured plastic composite handle, fitted with a cream braided nylon wrist strap featuring a sliding plastic adjuster. The pole utilises two internal twist-lock mechanisms for height adjustment between the sections. The base is fitted with a black rubberised traction ferrule.
Condition report:
The pole shows signs of moderate use consistent with outdoor activity. There are visible scuffs, surface scratches, and patches of paint loss to the purple finish on the upper shaft, particularly concentrated near the first adjustment joint (photo 1). The silver aluminium section exhibits light surface scratching. The handle shows minor surface wear from handling, and the braided wrist strap is intact with light fraying present. The rubber ferrule shows wear to the tread pattern from contact with the ground (photo 1).
